Scenic Drive, State Route 154: The
154 runs from Santa Barbara to Los Olivos. It is a beautiful
drive, taking you over the San Marcos Pass in the Santa Ynez Mountains,
and then past cattle ranches, vineyards and orchards. You’ll
pass the Los Padres National Forest, Lake Cachuma, and Santa Ynez,
ending up in the town of Los Olivos. Along the way you can stop for
lunch at Cold Spring Tavern, a former stagecoach stop.
And at the end, enjoy wine tasting at the 20 or so local winery tasting
rooms lined up on Grand St. in Los Olivos.
